State Insurance Programs

Baby Arizona is a simple, faster way for pregnant women to apply for AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System) medical coverage under the federal SOBRA program.

AHCCCS for Families with Children (AFC) provides medical coverage, such as doctor's office visits, hospitalization, prescriptions, lab work, and behavioral health services to families. To qualify, there must be a child in the household under the age of 18 years (or 19 years if a full-time student).

KidsCare (Arizona's State Children's Health Insurance Program) provides medical coverage for children who have had no health insurance for the last three months.

SOBRA provides medical coverage to pregnant women and children up to the age of 19 years.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families

(Welfare)

The Cash Assistance Program provides assistance to eligible families with at least one dependent child. The grant diversion program provides one-time temporary financial assistance to eligible families to assist them to keep or get a job so they will not require on-going assistance.

Women, Infants, & Children Program (WIC)

Arizona Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) is a federally funded program which provides Arizona residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, and referrals. WIC participants are pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children who have nutritional needs and meet income guidelines.
