How do I know how far I am?  This is a question that can be quite complicated.  Your pregnancy is counted from the first day of your last period.  That means you were technically pregnant before you even conceived!

This is done to make calculating the length of your pregnancy easier for doctors and nurses.  Confused?  Simply follow the links starting at the menstruation link to understand more about what this means and how it works. You can also use the pregnancy calculator to discover your due date and estimate your current week of pregnancy, which is also known as the gestational age.
